The beautiful Alma City Club dining room (year-round) and its gorgeous veranda (during summer months) are open Tuesday-Friday for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fully licensed dining room is open on Friday evenings for dining service, as well, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Weekly social functions for members and their guests are held at the Club on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Club is also available for private dining (upon reservation and space availability) for business meetings or other functions.

As the Alma City Club’s in-house chef, he creates delectable and unique appetizers, main courses, desserts and hors d’oeuvres for our dining room guests and those attending special functions.
Chef Rowe been cooking professionally since the age of 18. However, his experience began long before that at age 10 when he was introduced to cooking and butchery. He has been both sous-chef and executive chef at two CAA/AAA Four Diamond award-winning restaurants (The Waterside Inn in Mississauga and Little Louis’ in Moncton). Upon his return to New Brunswick, he was captain of the New Brunswick Junior Culinary Team for four years, achieving two Knorr junior provincial culinary titles.
Chef Rowe has apprenticed under world-renowned Chef Steven Huston, of whom he credits with most of his abilities, drive and passion for food. He has also developed and taught culinary classes for the at-home chef as well as operated various small catering companies.
He has worked with and cooked with such celebrity chefs as Michael Smith (Food Network), Art Smith (former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey and Top Chef Master) and Ralph Hoffman (Executive Chef at the Hilton in Washington, D.C., who was responsible for the inaugural dinner for President George W. Bush). Chef Rowe has also cooked personally for a number of celebrities, including Avril Lavigne, George Canyon, Julio Iglesias and Carolyn Dawn Johnson, to mention a few.
Chef Rowe holds the Oyster Shucking Championship for New Brunswick (undefeated in four years). In 2003, he was chose to travel to Ireland as an Ambassador of New Brunswick Oyster Shucking; assisting in the 50th anniversary of the Galway, Ireland, Oyster Shucking World Championships. He placed in the top 10 in Canada in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, Chef Rowe competed at the World Championships and placed 11th.
After cooking and managing at both small and large facilities in both Ontario and New Brunswick, Chef Rowe completed his business and marketing diploma at NBCC-Moncton.
